Andrea Pastrana Ochoa, a Colombian and Italian national, is an attorney admitted to practice in Colombia specialized in international arbitration and dispute settlement as well as in administrative law.

Professional Experience

Andrea Pastrana Ochoa is an associate at Armesto & Asociados, a boutique of arbitrators with an international and independent profile and a good business sense, founded by Juan Fernández-Armesto.

Andrea joined Armesto & Asociados in 2023, where she supports arbitral tribunals in arbitration proceedings, including international, ad hoc and administered arbitrations involving both commercial and investment disputes.

Before joining Armesto & Asociados, Andrea gained experience in the international arbitration team of Dechert (Paris) LLP. In 2021, she worked as Law Clerk in Colombia’s Council of State (highest court of contentious-administrative law). Previously, Andrea worked for two years in public procurement law at Colombia’s Financial Territory Development Bank (Findeter).

Education

Andrea Pastrana Ochoa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá (2013-2019). In 2020, she completed a post-graduate specialization in Administrative Law as well as a Graduate Diploma in Urban Law from the same University.

In 2023, Andrea obtained a Master’s in Foreign Affairs in Comillas University – ICADE in Madrid, with a specialization in economics, politics, and international law.
