Sofia de Sampaio Jalles es socia en Armesto & Asociados, un despacho de árbitros fundado por Juan Fernández-Armesto. Tiene nacionalidad portuguesa y es abogada colegiada en Francia.

Sofia actúa como árbitra y secretaria de tribunales arbitrales en procedimientos arbitrales nacionales e internacionales, ad hoc e institucionales, comerciales y de inversión. Los procedimientos en los que participa suelen estar administrados por la CCI, el CIADI, la CPA, y diversas instituciones arbitrales locales. El listado de arbitrajes en los que actuó se encuentra en anexo.

En 2021, 2022, 2023 y 2024, Sofia fue reconocida como “Future Leader” en arbitraje internacional por la publicación Who’s Who Legal.

Expreriencia Profesional

Antes de incorporarse a Armesto & Asociados, Sofia de Sampaio Jalles perteneció al equipo de arbitraje internacional del despacho Dechert (Paris) LLP. Previamente estuvo vinculada al departamento de Fusiones y Adquisiciones del despacho PDGD Avocats en Paris y al despacho portugués Vieira de Almeida & Associados en Lisboa.

Formación

Sofia de Sampaio Jalles realizó sus estudios universitarios en Sciences Po Paris, en Francia, licenciándose en Ciencias Políticas en 2011. Durante su licencia, Sofia de Sampaio Jalles hizo una estancia de un año en King’s College London, en Reino Unido. En 2014 Sofia de Sampaio Jalles obtuvo su Maestría en Derecho Mercantil, con una especialización en resolución de disputas, en Sciences Po Paris.

De 2014 a 2016 Sofia de Sampaio Jalles se incorporó a la Ecole de Formation des Barreaux de la Cour d’appel de Paris, completando su formación como abogado y obteniendo el Certificat d’Aptitude à la Profession d’Avocat (2016).
